Artist Statment:
This design uses the bulbous rounded features of a goldfish, alongside the spiky sharp qualities of a crab. Using nylon and elastic this hybrid animal emulates the concept of curiosity through its expressive eyes. When the animal is fully inflated its eyes bug out of its head, and when it is deflated its eyes retreat back into its body. This project was fully hand patterned and created out of recycled hand dyed nylon fabric.
